WORKERS COMPENSATION - The Arizona Court of Appeals found that an off-duty police officer had acted within the course of his employment when he took a bullet trying to protect a friend from a drive-by shooting. J. Eckerstrom found that the police code of conduct required the officer to safeguard someone's life if he saw it in danger, even if the officer would have protected him out of friendship.
