SAN JOSE, Calif. (CN) - The CEOs and general counsels of warring technology titans Apple and Samsung Electronics agreed Tuesday to hammer out their differences.
The parties have 90 days to come to an agreement, or they will move to a trial set for late July, according to the order signed by U.S. District Judge Lucy Koh.
"The parties have indicated that they are willing to participate in a Magistrate Judge Settlement Conference," the one-page order states.
Koh has presided over the trademark and trade dress dispute since Apple filed suit in April 2011, accusing Samsung of selling knockoff smartphones and tablet computers that "slavishly copy" iPhone and iPad products.
