Appeals Court Keeps |Navy Sonar Ban In Place

SAN FRANCISCO (CN) - The 9th Circuit declined to stay an injunction barring the U.S. Navy from conducting sonar warfare exercises off the coast of southern California that could be harmful to marine mammals. The court said a stay was unnecessary because the judges will issue their decision well before the Navy's scheduled sonar training begins in March.
