Antitrust Case Against Sanofi-Aventis

MANHATTAN (CN) - A federal judge refused Sanofi-Aventis' motion for summary judgment of a drug wholesaler's claim that Sanofi violated antitrust law by filing a sham citizen petition with the FDA to block approval of five drug manufacturers' applications to make generic versions of the arthritis drug leflunomide, or Arava.

Louisiana Wholesale Drug Co.'s case will proceed to trial on Nov. 10.
