Another Vote Snafu Alleged In Florida

MIAMI (CN) - The City of South Miami and The Miami-Dade County Canvassing Board sent 2,800 postcards to voters before the Feb. 12 election, telling them they were ineligible to vote because of where they lived. Many of these notices were wrong, and Rene Guim, a candidate for commissioner who lost by 24 votes, claims 66 of the 67 eligible voters he has found either did not vote or were turned away from the polls, after receiving the postcards. He wants the winner ousted and a new election, in Miami-Dade County Court.
