PORTLAND, Ore. (CN) - Another ex-Scout sued the Boy Scouts of America and its Cascade Pacific Council, claiming his scoutmaster "masturbated and/or sodomized" him more than 20 times, and that his assistant scoutmaster watched it more than once.
Plaintiff A.J. claims his scoutmaster, Steven Terry Hill, "masturbated and/or sodomized plaintiff on over 20 occasions" in the mid-1970s, and that his assistant scoutmaster, Thomas Hensley, "witnessed this sexual abuse on several occasions."
Neither Hill nor Hensley is named as a defendant.
The Boy Scouts of America and its Cascade Pacific Council were ordered to pay $18.5 million in damages this year to another scout who made similar allegations, involving a similar scoutmaster, but the same council. That case, like the present one, was filed in Multnomah County Court.
A.J. seeks more than $3 million in damages for sexual abuse of a child, negligence and emotional distress. He is represented by Kelly Clark with O'Donnell Clark & Crew.
