Another Noose Racial Harassment Case

ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. (CN) - Three black workers say Pathmark Stores and A&P racially harassed them by hanging nooses in the store manager's office and in the produce department's back room. They claim they were suspended without pay for refusing to work until the nooses came down.

The men say bosses retaliated against in other ways, for instance, telling on plaintiff that a co-worker didn't have to do an onerous task "because he's white."

The incidents allegedly happened at Pathmark's Ventnor store.

Plaintiffs demand punitive damages for racial discrimination, retaliation and harassment. They are represented by Richard Yaskin of Cherry Hill.
