Another Chicago Cop Accused Of Assault

CHICAGO (CN) - In the latest abuse complaint against Chicago and its police force, a woman claims an officer assaulted and battered and wrongfully arrested and imprisoned her with excessive force as she dropped off her 4-year-old daughter at pre-school. The woman claims "Officer Grubbs" arrested her for "prostitution and domestic battery," though Grubbs was looking for another woman.

Linda Watkins-Dillon, a 36-year-old nurse's assistant, claims her assault and illegal arrest on April 21 were all conducted in the presence of her 14-year-old daughter, whom Grubbs also hauled off to the police station. Neither she nor her daughter were ever accused of anything, though the woman says she was handcuffed to a pole in the police station, and upon release went immediately to a hospital, where she was diagnosed with multiple injuries.

She is represented in Federal Court by Loevy & Loevy.
