AndroGel Caused Big Problems, Mom Says

VENTURA, CALIF. (CN) – A woman whose husband was prescribed Solvay Pharmaceuticals’ topical drug AndroGel as testosterone replacement therapy, claims her 5-year-old son’s normal skin contact with his father caused the boy to suffer “accelerated skeletal maturation, precocious puberty, aggressive behavioral problems, advanced bone age, sexual frustration, disrupted normal sexual development and the possibility of decreased final adult height.”

The plaintiffs claim Solvay knew or should have known of the complications, but failed to warn consumers of it, while aggressively pushing the drug.
They also sue Longs Drug Stores, in Ventura County Court. They are represented by Girardi & Keese of Los Angeles.
