WASHINGTON (CN) - Certain anabolic steroids are not treated as controlled substances according to a new regulation by the Drug Enforcement Administration.
The formulations contain esterified estrogens and Methyltestosterone and are similar to Estratest and Essian, replacement hormones for menopause exempted from the list in 2006. The DEA states that no evidence of significant abuse or trafficking of these types of products was found upon reviewing several law enforcement databases. Interpharm Inc., Lannett Company Inc., and ANDAPharm, LLC sought this exemption of two products each. Click here for details and other new regulations.
