KANSAS CITY, Mo. (CN) – A woman claims in court that she was constructively fired when she refused a request from her female boss: to move in with the boss and her husband, have sex with the husband and bear his children.
Kristen Stratman sued United Cerebral Palsy Heartland, her ex-boss Diane Ferguson and Ferguson’s husband, in Federal Court.
Stratman claims she was constructively fired from the charity on Aug. 16, 2011, one day after Diane Ferguson made the offer.
“Defendant Diane Ferguson, plaintiff’s supervisor, approached plaintiff at work and suggested that she move into the Fergusons’ home and sleep with her husband, defendant Weston Ferguson,” the complaint states.
“Defendants Diane and Weston Ferguson offered to provide free room and board to plaintiff if she would sleep with defendant Weston Ferguson and bear him children.
“The following day, defendant Diane Ferguson asked plaintiff if she would accept their offer. Because of this, plaintiff left work early and did not return.
“Plaintiff was constructively discharged.”
Stratman seeks damages and punitive damages for lost wages, emotional distress, psychological damage, gender discrimination and education debt due to loss of grant money.
