American, Delta Cancel Hundreds Of Flights

DALLAS (CN) - American and Delta Airlines canceled hundreds of flights today to inspect wiring on their commercial jets. American said it canceled 132 flights today and 325 on Wednesday, and Delta said it expected to cancel 275 flights by Friday. The inspections center on bundles of wires in auxiliary hydraulic systems in American's MD-80 planes and Delta's MD-88s.
