Alzheimer’s Community

A federal court in New Jersey ruled in favor of the developer of community residences, which claims it was wrongfully denied permits to build a facility for individuals with Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia.

The court finds that a 2015 rule governing such facilities seems to discriminate by making “overprotective assumptions about the needs of handicapped people.”
