DEFAMATION, JURY- When a woman wrote in to complain about the Tom Leykis radio show in Juneau, Leykis read the letter on the air while making derogatory and sexually explicit remarks about her. The state high court upheld dismissal of the plaintiff's defamation claim and false light invasion of privacy claim because the host's remarks were not factually verifiable. It also remanded her claim for intentional infliction of emotional distress. State v. Carpenter
