Airlines Must Report|More Types of Incidents

WASHINGTON (CN) - The National Transportation Safety Board has added to the list of types of incidents that aircraft operators must report to the agency.

As of March 8, operators must report failure of an engine component that causes debris to fly off, part of a propeller blade falling from an aircraft, more than half of an aircraft's cockpit displays going blank, certain incidents in which a collision needs to be avoided, and damage to helicopter tail or main rotor blades that requires major repair or replacement of the blade.
