Airbus

Dozens of passengers sued Airbus and Northrop Grumman in Cook County Court, claiming a defective air data inertial reference unit and flight-control computers malfunctioned in an Airbus A-330 operated by Qantas, throwing passengers about the cabin as the plane nosedived twice on an Oct. 7, 2008 flight from Singapore to Perth.
