Airbnb’s privacy rights

NEW ORLEANS — New Orleans was unable to get Airbnb and three local hosts’ Fourth Amendment lawsuit dismissed in a Louisiana federal court. The city’s 2024 ordinance setting certain requirements for short-term rental operations in the city plausibly violate the tech company’s constitutional right to be free from unreasonable searches and seizures, as the ordinance required the app to report to its booking transactions and its users’ properties to the city monthly.
