Air Controllers Blamed For Fatal Crash

SAN DIEGO (CN) - A federal air traffic controller at Gillespie Field in El Cajon caused the Feb. 8, 2006 midair crash that killed Anders Olof Sigurdson by giving one or both planes erroneous instructions, failing to warn them, failing to track the planes, and other careless acts, Old Republic Insurance says in a federal claim against the United States.
