AIG Seeks $306 Million in Federal Income Tax

MANHATTAN (CN) - American International Group, a troubled company that has received more than $152 billion in bailout money from the federal government, is asking for millions more in taxes it claims were wrongfully assessed. AIG filed a petition in Federal Court to recover more than $306 million in federal income taxes, penalties and interest from 1997.
