Aides Expect Gov. Spitzer To Resign

MANHATTAN - Aides to Gov. Eliot Spitzer said today they expect Spitzer to resign, though they do not know when. Assembly Minority Leader James Tedisco, a Republican, told The New York Times he would begin impeachment proceedings if Spitzer did not resign by Thursday. Spitzer's name surfaced in court papers as the alleged "Client 9" of a high-price prostitution service.
