Agency Proposes Bank|Receivership Framework

WASHINGTON (CN) - The Federal Housing Finance Agency has proposed a regulation to establish a framework for receivership and conservatorship operations for critically undercapitalized entities, so they may become sound under the agency's requirements.

The framework would be used for the Federal National Mortgage Association, the Federal Home Loan Mortgage Corporation, and the Federal Home Loan Banks, under the Housing and Economic Recovery Act.
