Actor Wants His Family to Shut Up

LOS ANGELES (CN) - Actor Jeremy London wants a restraining order against his family, who he says defamed him in media interviews. London claims he was kidnapped and the incident is being investigated, and "the detective in charge of the investigation is concerned that the media frenzy caused by the actions of the defendants will compromise his investigation."

London says one suspect in his kidnapping is in custody and two others are being investigated.

He says he had his attorney send a letter to all three defendants - Jason London, Deborah Nielsen and Sofia Karstens - asked them to stop "making any further statements to the media."

But he says they have continued to conduct interviews and "post false information" about him. He claims that their false statements "are damaging to both his personal reputation and to his career in the entertainment business."

London says the kidnapping investigation is being conducted in Palm Springs.

He asked the Superior Court for a restraining order, costs, and damages.

He is represented by Catherine Lombardo of Beverly Hills.
