ACLU can use DOJ report in Louisiana suit

NEW ORLEANS — The Louisiana State Police were unable to convince a federal court to exclude, from the ACLU’s wrongful death lawsuit against the agency, a U.S. Department of Justice investigative report alleging the state police suffer a statewide pattern and practice of excessive force. The agency says the DOJ has withdrawn its report, but this is not true and it is still publicly available on the government’s website.
