Absent at trial

DES MOINES, Iowa — A trial court may conduct certain criminal trials when a defendant isn’t present for any part of the trial, the Iowa Supreme Court ruled in a case in which a man failed to appear for his trial and was convicted of misdemeanor operating-while-intoxicated.
