PROVIDENCE, R.I. — The Rhode Island Supreme Court upheld the state’s Reproductive Privacy Act, which preserves the right to obtain an abortion. The act wasn’t a constitutional amendment that would have required a referendum, the court ruled, and the plaintiffs did not show “an actual and personal stake in the outcome.”
