BELLEVILLE, Ill. (CN) - Hotel employees failed to call police to help two women after a man forced them to rent a room with a gun pointed at their heads, the women say in St. Clair County Court.
The plaintiffs say a gunman forced them to rent a room from the Delux Hotel in Alorton, Ill., for a two-hour stay, where he physically and sexually assaulted them.
They say the hotel's employees negligently failed to notice the women were in danger.
The women say that while they were renting the room they were accompanied by a man who covered his face with a black coat and that they were noticeably shaking from fear. They say the man pointed a gun at their heads front of employees, who never called police.
Also sued is the hotel's corporate parent, Greenville Hotel Investors.
The plaintiffs are represented by Gerald Dunne of Clayton, Mo.
