A bitter lie?

CHICAGO — A federal court in Illinois allowed a widow’s implied warranty claim to proceed against a computer duster manufacturer after her husband succumbed to his inhalant addiction. She adequately argued the manufacturer’s statement that a “safety bitterant” was added to discourage inhalant abuse may have been knowingly false. Related negligence claims are dismissed, however.
