Ranger immunity

DALLAS — A federal judge in Texas finds that a Texas Ranger is immune from the false imprisonment claims brought by a partygoer who was told he would “receive the needle” for allegedly shooting people at a homecoming event; the arrested man had left the party before the shooting occurred, but remained in jail for nine days on capital murder charges.
