LOS ANGELES — An appeals court in California upheld the approval of a settlement between rideshare company Lyft and one of its drivers who claimed she was misclassified as an independent contractor. Other Lyft drivers had claimed Lyft settled with the plaintiff for an “unreasonably low amount” and the settlement was otherwise unlawful.
