(CN) - A New York woman claims rapper 50 Cent mixed a video of himself wearing a wig on a "private" sex tape she made with her boyfriend, then posted the altered video on his Web site. Lastonia Leviston claims the rapper, whose real name is Curtis Jackson, gave interviews admitting to the deed and repeatedly called her a "call girl."
Leviston says her boyfriend, Maurice Murray, assured her that he had taped over the explicit video. But in March 2009, Murray "transferred or sold" the tape to Jackson, according to the complaint filed in New York State Supreme Court.
Leviston says Jackson blurred Murray's face, but left her face clearly visible. He also allegedly "added narration" to the video, taping himself talking while wearing a wig and a robe. Leviston says Jackson's ongoing commentary claimed Leviston was the mother of a child with rival rapper Rick Ross, among other things.
Jackson posted a clip of the video on his Web site, according to the complaint, and added a link to another site where viewers could watch the entire video.
In December, Jackson gave an interview with Tim Westwood, a British D.J. and host of the U.K. version of MTV's "Pimp My Ride." In the interview, Leviston says Jackson referred to her as "Brooke" and repeatedly called her a "call girl." Jackson also allegedly admitted to having paid "a few dollars" for the video.
Jackson also told listeners that the video was on his Web site, Leviston says.
After the interview, the video appeared on YouTube and on prominent hip hop news Web site WorldStarHipHop.com.
Leviston wants unspecified damages. She is represented by Darren Gelber with Wilentz, Goldman & Spitzer of Woodbridge, N.J.
