$4M jury award to trans student overturned

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — An appeals court in Missouri affirmed the lower court’s decision to overturn a jury’s $4 million judgment in favor of a trans student who was denied use of male restrooms and locker rooms. The school district wins as a matter of law, held the en banc court, because it is not discriminatory to prohibit a student with female genitalia from using restrooms reserved for male students.
