$119M verdict set aside in Cuban travel suit

MIAMI — Expedia, Hotels.com and Orbitz convinced a Florida federal court to set aside the $119 million jury verdict against them on claims they facilitated bookings at an island owned by a U.S. national that was confiscated by the Cuban government. Evidence was insufficient to show the agencies knew they were booking guests at the hotel after they were served cease-and-desist notices.
