$10.5 Million Fine for Trade Violations

WASHINGTON (CN) - Fokker Services, a Dutch aerospace company, will pay the United States $10.5 million for conspiring to violate trade sanctions against Iran, Sudan and Burma, the U.S. Attorney's Office for the District of Columbia said.

Fokker waived indictment and agreed to the charges in a one-count criminal information, prosecutors said. It will pay the $10.5 million under a deferred prosecution agreement.

Fokker was charged with violating the International Emergency Economic Powers Act by sending aircraft parts, technology and services to the sanctioned countries.
