Space Flight Passengers|Must Each Sign Waiver

WASHINGTON (CN) - The U.S. government has made it clear that one commercial space flight passenger may not sign the waiver of claims for all in their party, according to Federal Aviation Administration rule amendments.

There had been confusion about whether all customers on flights going through U.S. airspace must sign or whether one customer can sign the agreement on behalf of all customers, according to the FAA.

The forms are 3-party agreements to waive legal claims among the customer, the U.S. government, and the commercial flight operator.

The FAA will still sign waivers on behalf of government customers.
