LOS ANGELES -- A model on the game show "Deal or No Deal" has filed a suit against NBC-Universal claiming she wasn't paid promptly as required by California law for her work on the show.
Lana Asanin, in a complaint filed in Superior Court, said she worked on the series -- which features models holding briefcases that may or may not be good deals for contestants -- in June and July last year but was not paid until September.
The suit says Asanin is entitled to wating time penalties under California's Labor Code.
The complaint was filed by Cyrus John Nownejad of Cyrus & Cyrus.
