WILMINGTON, Del. - Challenging a merger valued at $2.5 billion, Air Methods shareholders claim in a federal class action that the offer of $43 a share by American Securities is inadequate consideration.

Air Methods has three divisions, one of which “is the largest provider of air medical transport services in the United States,” according to the April 5 complaint.
