The Arizona Court of Appeals affirmed Tuesday an injunction stopping Banner Health Network and others from enforcing liens for the balance between what the Arizona Health Care Cost Containment System paid for its members’ health care and the hospitals’ customary charges, as federal law pre-empts the hospitals’ contracts with the system.
