Man Says Harassment Left Him Homeless

CHICAGO (CN) - A man's boss grabbed his butt and told him he had a "nice black ass," then fired him for rejecting her advances, and now he has panic attacks around white women, the man claims in court.

Quintin House sued Securitas Security Services USA in Cook County Court. The company is the only defendant, though the complaint names his boss.

House claims he began working as a security officer for Securitas on May 3, 2011.

Twelve days later, he says, "plaintiff's supervisor or manager, Ms. Danielle Steger, who is white, grabbed plaintiff's buttocks and told him he had a 'nice black ass.'

"The incident was unwanted and unwelcome, and plaintiff responded by stating he was not at work for any sexual relationship.

"Later on May 15, 2011, plaintiff was terminated," according to the complaint.

It adds: "As a result of defendant's unlawful discriminatory conduct, plaintiff has suffered severe emotional distress, including frequent panic attacks whenever he has been near a white woman, and depression after he was forced to live in his car for two months because he had no income."

House seeks damages for sexual harassment and retaliation, lost wages, medical expenses and pain and suffering.

He is represented by Mitchell Kline.
