Man Claims Charlie Sheen|Owes Him $1 Million

LOS ANGELES (CN) - Charlie Sheen hired a man at $300,000 a year for three years, then fired him five months later without paying him a dime, the man claims in court.

Keith Fitzgerald sued Sheen and 9th Step Productions on Wednesday in Federal Court.

The 13-page complaint does not explain what Fitzgerald's job was, and Courthouse News filed this article before his attorney's office was open Thursday morning.

Fitzgerald claims that Sheen and 9th Step hired him in July 2013, promising him employment for three years at $300,000 a year, with medical benefits and a 20 percent incentive bonus.

He says he was fired after five months, with no explanation, and that he got "no compensation whatsoever for any of the services he performed for defendants at any time whatsoever."

He demands more than $1 million for breach of contract, breach of faith and labor law violations.

Fitzgerald, who now lives in New Hampshire, could not be located for comment. Nor could Sheen.

Fitzgerald is represented by Aanand Mehtani, with Rushovich Mehtani.
