Law Firm Says|Ludacris Stiffed It

ATLANTA (CN) - A law firm says Ludacris stiffed it for legal fees and expenses. Carlton Fields P.A. sued the Atlanta-based rapper and his Ludacris Foundation for $61,820 in Fulton County Superior Court.

The firm says it defended the rapper, whose given name is Christopher Bridges, in a 2007 complaint for personal injuries and negligence: Lawrence A. Hyde v. Roberta J. Shields, Christopher B. Bridges and Ludacris Foundation.

Carlton Fields claims it also advanced the defendants out-of-pocket expenses.

The law firm says it began representing Ludacris in March 2008 but stopped providing legal services in April 2009 as it had not received the outstanding balance of $61,860.20. It wants the money, plus court costs.
