SOUTH BEND, Ind. – The elevator inside Indiana’s Pulaski County Courthouse does not open automatically and the heavy wooden door must be opened outward, making it inaccessible to people in wheelchairs, a class claims in federal court.

The lead plaintiff is Emily Hizer, represented by the American Civil Liberties Union of Indiana.
