ST. LOUIS (CN) - An attorney was sentenced to 21 months in federal prison for stealing $200,000 from two Minnesota investors.
King Bethel Harris, 42, pleaded guilty in February to felony wire fraud, federal prosecutors said.
Prosecutors said Harris did not put the investors' money into an escrow account as promised, but pocketed it.
Harris was ordered to repay the money and has been disbarred in Tennessee. He was charged in California in December for his role in a mortgage loan modification scheme, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.
