'You Want Sweet and Sour With That?'

CHICAGO (CN) - An "enraged" employee of a Chinese restaurant threw a customer through a glass door, shattering it and injuring her, because she "politely requested more sauce packets" for her takeout order, the woman claims in court.
Tiawanda Shears sued Hui Tian Wu and New China Wok Limited in Cook County Court.
Shears claims Wu whaled on her after she noticed there was "only one packet of sauce" for her entire takeout order and politely asked for more.
Her May 14 visit to the restaurant was "the first time plaintiff Shears had been inside defendant New China's premises," according to the complaint.
"Plaintiff's request for more sauce packets caused Wu to become enraged and he came from behind the pick-up counter and attacked plaintiff Shears," the complaint states.
"(A)s defendant Wu continued to attacked plaintiff Shears, he pushed her outside the defendant New China premise through the glass front door and then violently threw her through the glass front door, causing the glass door to shatter and plaintiff Shears to severely injure her leg," Shears says.
She seeks damages for battery and intentional infliction of emotional distress.
She is represented by Matthew Leonard.
