     Stanpark Construction built 131 defective houses in the Tempo subdivision of North Las Vegas, according to a class action in Clark County Court. Dozens of homeowners in the Central Park Developments sued Central Park LLC, Amland Development and US West Development in a similar complaint in the same court.

     Hasbro claims Atari sublicensed Hasbro's video game "Dungeons & Dragons" to a Hasbro competitor without permission, in Providence, R.I., Federal Court.

     Universal Music-Z Tunes insists it owns the copyright to the tune, "You Are Not Alone," which Michael Jackson sang, and that it does not infringe on the tune "If We Can Start All Over," as Edgard Van Passel and Daniel Van Passel claim, and that a judgment the Van Passels won in Belgium is invalid, in Manhattan Federal Court.

     Jared Edwards claims he worked for Keenen, Shawn and Marlon Wayans, and they stole his book manuscript, which St. Martin's Press published as "101 Ways to Know You're a Golddigger," in a copyright claim in Manhattan Federal Court.

Border Wall

     Marcon Engineering refused to pay P&B Concrete Construction the $509,000 it owes it for work on the U.S.-Mexico border wall, the United States claims on behalf of P&B in Tucson Federal Court.

     Port Authority Officer Francis Pisano says the New York Post defamed him by publishing his photo and badge number in a story about police corruption and a mass murder, in Nassau County Court, N.Y.

Post-Katrina Fraud

     Anderson & Gutierrez Development took hundreds of thousands of dollars to build or improve modular homes and waltzed without doing the jobs, the State of Louisiana claims in St. Tammany Parish Court.

Foreclosure Scams

     Kirkland Young LLC, Attorney Aid LLC, and ABK Consultants deceived consumers in a foreclosure rescue scam, the State of Florida claims in Miami-Dade County Court.
     Also sued are David Botton and Samy Botton, managers of Kirkland Young; Bridget Grant, a manager of Attorney Aid; April Botton Krawiecki, a manager for ABK; Michael Botton, an attorney; Ryan Matthew Grant, an attorney; and Brian Michael Rokaw, an attorney.

Commerce

     The Mexican Hass Avocado Importers Association claims Preston/Tully Group swiped $2.7 million that should have been spent promoting avocados, in Brooklyn Federal Court.

Investments

     Atlantic International Investment, 207 Redwood LLC, AmPac Investment Group, and Annie Kim refuse to return more than $1 million invested in their alleged real estate developments, according to seven complaints in Howard County Court, Md.

Employment

     Sunstar Kalamazoo dba Motel 6 and Akhil Bhatt fired two workers after they needed medical treatment for exposure to a motel room that had been used as a meth lab, the former employees claim in Kalamazoo County Court, Mich.
